Track Design

Track design process

The racing track design is based on the principle of "bringing surprise to customers and providing fun for drivers", creating the best track for you.

1、 Market research

1. In depth communication: Actively communicate with investors to understand the local kart market demand situation.

2. Competitive analysis: Analyze the number, strengths, and weaknesses of competitors, including track design, service quality, pricing strategies, etc.

3. Lock in customers: Accurately target potential customer groups, such as tourists, racing enthusiasts, corporate groups, etc.

2、 Preliminary design

Investors need to provide original data of the site, such as CAD files, PDF scans, etc. The design team will create a preliminary plan based on this information:

1. Determine the approximate layout of the track, clarify key elements such as straight length, curve type, and angle.

List the budget scope and itemize the construction and equipment procurement costs.

Analyze revenue potential and estimate future revenue and profits.

3、 Formal design

After signing the design contract, the design team officially started the design work.

1. Optimize the track: Carefully combine straight and curved tracks to optimize the track layout from multiple perspectives.

2. Integrated facilities: Integrate supporting facilities such as timing, safety, lighting, and drainage.

3. Improve details: Improve track and facility details, conduct simulated safety inspections and tests.

Common problems in track design

Track type:

A Children's Track: A simple track designed specifically for children to play without the need for driving skills. The design of the track fully considers safety factors and has various safeguard measures, allowing children to enjoy driving pleasure in a safe environment.

B Entertainment Track: Smooth layout, mainly aimed at ordinary consumers. Its characteristic is low difficulty, allowing the general public to easily experience the fun of karting. At the same time, the entertainment track can seamlessly integrate with other attractions, providing tourists with a more diverse range of travel options.

C competitive track, multi-level track: designed for racing enthusiasts and thrill seekers, suitable for team and corporate activities. Can allow professional and non professional racing drivers to experience the thrill of adrenaline rush.

Track area requirement:

A Children's Entertainment Track: The indoor area ranges from 300 to 500 square meters, and the outdoor area ranges from 1000 to 2000 square meters. This scale is suitable for children to play, as it will not make them feel too spacious and fearful, but also provide a certain amount of activity space to meet their entertainment needs.

B Adult Entertainment Track: Indoor area ranges from 1000 to 5000 square meters, and outdoor area ranges from 2000 to 10000 square meters. The area of adult entertainment tracks is relatively large, and more diverse curves can be set up to increase the fun and challenge of driving.

Adult competitive track with an area of over 10000 square meters. Competitive tracks require more space to meet the demands of professional drivers for high-speed driving and intense competition. The combination of long straights and complex curves can test drivers' skills and reaction abilities.

The possibility of upgrading a flat track to a multi-layer track: Racing riders have developed multiple modules that can be combined according to safety requirements. The safety requirements stipulate a minimum net height of 5 meters, but certain functions allow for lower net heights. With these modules, the possibility of including multi-layer structures can be evaluated based on the current layout, providing more flexibility and innovation for track design.

Ideal road surface for karting track: The ideal road surface for karting track is usually asphalt, which has good smoothness, grip and wear resistance, providing drivers with a stable and high-speed driving experience. However, if it is an indoor track and the ground foundation is made of concrete, the special track ground coating developed by Racing becomes an ideal alternative solution. This coating can largely approach the performance of asphalt, creating a driving experience similar to that of an outdoor asphalt track for drivers.
